Packaging is always very challenging, it incorporates many levels of expertise and experience when dealing with different substrates, printing techniques and artwork production to suit a specific medium or product, whilst also working to brand guidelines is key.
I enjoy the challenges of structural packaging, how the design looks on pack and the visual outcome of the product on shelf. I work closely with the team to make sure the design flows correctly and is optimum for the product.
I have exceptional pre-press and print knowledge which gives me a good understanding of the process and enables me to share a technical in-site with the team to overcome any obstacles during the design process.
I am skilled in producing high quality work in a wide range of disciplines, I am very competent in creating and working with PSD files, spot channels, high-end retouching to high quality mock-ups. I have a strong solid knowledge in colour management, pass on press and proofing
The corporate and branding sector has its own set of challenges, especially the integrated and collaboration aspect. I am skilled in producing high quality work in a wide range of disciplines, producing POS, corporate literature, brochures, annual reports, leaflets, Power Point and Word templates, logos, brand guidelines, These mediums need meticulous attention to ensure consistency throughout the brand.
Brand awareness in trhe digital spaceis a key platform for most companies, I have developed my skill set in this medium. I have exceptional knowledge of PSD digital file output for website templates and wireframes, asset creation, HTML banners, animated Gif’s, social banners and HTML emails. Additionally I have some animation skills.
I work closely with the designers and developers to make sure all the UI and Web assets are correct and pixel perfect.
I have a strong solid knowledge of print, colour management making sure your business assets are consistent throughout your different medias.
As with all of my roles, as a Studio Manager and Production Management, I have gained valuable experience in working closely with design teams and Project Managers ensuring all their requirements are met and are to deadline. My role in IT has always covered a wide variety of support at a high level, I am very comfortable with technology and feel I adapt quickly to any new package or system. I am very at ease with both Apple Mac and PC’s, and have extensive user experience over a broad range of software and hardware including all Mac and Windows OS versions, Mac Server, RAID, Mail, FTP and storage solutions, Microsoft Office (all versions), Adobe Creative Suite (all versions), Apple Remote Desktop, VNC, JAMF CASPER (a system deployment software), PresStore and Retrospect backup and disaster recovery solutions.
